O que esta ferramenta faz

Salary math fails freelancers

If you need $80k take-home, billing $40/hour like a salaried peer usually fails after unpaid vacation, slow months, software costs, and taxes. This calculator backs into the real rate.

How to use this tool

Enter net income goal, expenses, tax buffer, time off, and utilization. Scenario B can model a higher income target or tax rate.

Formulas used

Gross needed = (Net + Expenses) / (1 − tax%)
Hourly rate = Gross needed / Billable hours

Billable hours = (52 − weeks off) × days/week × hours/day × utilization.

Worked example

Want $80,000 net, $12,000 expenses, 30% tax buffer, 6 weeks off, 5 days/week, 8 hours/day, 70% utilization. The tool computes billable hours and the minimum hourly/daily rate that funds your lifestyle and business costs.
