1. Data controller

FinTools4U ("we", "us") operates the website fintools4u.com. For privacy inquiries, contact: privacy@fintools4u.com.

2. Data we collect

Calculations run locally in your browser — we do not receive your financial inputs. We store preference cookies for language and for the currency you choose, and hosting produces standard server logs (IP address, browser, and pages requested). Optional saved calculations stay in this browser via localStorage and are never uploaded. When advertising is turned on, selected English calculator pages load Google AdSense to show one display ad. Google Consent Mode defaults deny ad storage, ad user data, ad personalization, and analytics storage. There is no consent banner or Google Privacy & messaging dialog on this site yet, so we do not grant those permissions and we do not turn advertising cookies on.

3. Legal basis (GDPR / UK GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, language and currency preference cookies remember choices you make on the site. Advertising cookies stay denied because a consent interface is not live yet. We do not offer a control on this site that grants or withdraws ad consent. You can clear cookies in your browser. Personalized AdSense ads for EEA and UK visitors require a certified consent management platform before they can be used; that dialog is not part of this site yet.

4. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents may request disclosure of categories of personal information collected, request deletion, and opt out of sale/sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Contact privacy@fintools4u.com to exercise your rights.

5. Cookies

We use preference cookies for language and currency. They are not advertising cookies. Google AdSense may place advertising cookies only after consent. This site does not yet show a consent banner or Google's Privacy & messaging dialog, so advertising cookies are not activated from FinTools4U. A display ad, when its ad unit is configured, can appear on certain English calculator pages between the results and the methodology section. It does not appear on About, Contact, Privacy, Terms, or hub pages. Loading the ad script does not by itself mean an ad is on the page. Google's advertising technologies are described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can clear cookies in your browser settings.

6. Saved calculations (browser storage)

If you use Save calculation, FinTools4U stores a named snapshot (tool, inputs, currency, timestamp) in this browser's localStorage. We do not receive those snapshots. They do not sync across devices. Clearing site data deletes them. You can export or import a JSON copy from the Saved page. This is not a cookie.

7. Data retention

Server logs are retained for up to 90 days unless a longer period is required for security or legal compliance. Preference cookies expire after 12 months. Saved calculations remain until you delete them or clear this site's browser storage.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g., your EU Data Protection Authority).

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
