Experience

Alberto Sire Horta is a software engineer and tech lead based in São Paulo, Brazil. Since 2006 he has worked in Latin America’s banking sector at a financial institution, alongside a background in software engineering, data, and shipping complete products. He is not a licensed financial advisor. Experience here means implementing and checking formulas in code, documenting assumptions, and keeping calculations local to your browser.

Why trust the tools

Each calculator shows its formula and assumptions, is checked against worked examples in automated tests, and runs entirely in your browser. Spot an error? Email us and we'll correct it.

How numbers are checked

A review compares the page with the formula, the copy, and the named sources. It is not a certification and it is not advice. Guides that already record a review date keep that date. Every other indexed calculator and guide uses one shared date, . Changing a method or a material assumption means updating the Methodology page and the tool that uses it.Published series loaded by the site are Banco Central do Brasil SGS (Selic 432, CDI 12, Poupança 195, IPCA 433 as a 12-month compound), the Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey for 30-year fixed loans, BLS CPI-U CUUR0000SA0 as a 12-month change, the New York Fed SOFR print, the New York Fed EFFR target-range midpoint, and the US Treasury par yield curve at 10 years. A series that fails to load is left out. The calculator keeps the rate you type.
